Coldstream integrates health and safety into planning, field delivery and review. The Project Manager checks site access conditions before each round and the Field Team Leader conducts a documented pre-start discussion. The team reviews traffic, unstable banks, water contact, livestock, manual handling, weather and emergency communications. Work stops when conditions depart materially from the approved assessment. A missed sample is recorded and discussed with the client rather than concealed by an unsafe attempt.
We use two-person crews for remote or higher-risk water sampling. The field lead checks communications, first aid equipment, vehicle condition and sample handling arrangements. Meter calibration and equipment inspection are completed before mobilisation. Current training is verified against the specific roster; experience is not a substitute for a required credential. Confined-space work requires a separate assessment, permits, atmospheric controls, competent personnel and rescue arrangements. A training ticket alone is insufficient authorisation for entry.
Incidents and near misses are reported to the Project Manager promptly, with immediate escalation for serious risks. Corrective actions receive an owner and due date and are checked for effectiveness at the next operations meeting. Subcontractors are inducted into relevant site requirements. The Project Director reviews significant events and confirms that the client receives the agreed notifications.
Our signed WHS policy establishes these responsibilities and is attached from the controlled policy folder. The last signed copy available to the bid team is the March 2023 version. The ISO 45001 certificate is a separate record; the policy's review status must be checked against each tender. No individual training currency is certified by this reusable answer.
