Coldstream Water & Environment Pty Ltd | POL-ENV-01 | version 5
Signed and reviewed: Fiona Hartley, Managing Director, 12 May 2025
Next scheduled review: 12 May 2027, or earlier following material change
Coldstream commits to preventing pollution, reducing environmental harm and meeting applicable requirements, including the Environment Protection Act 2017 (Vic). We assess risks before field work and apply controls proportionate to the activity, location and potential consequence. Staff must report unexpected conditions and stop activities where controls are inadequate.
Project managers plan for the management of purge water, equipment wash water, sample preservatives, consumables and waste. Field teams avoid unnecessary vegetation disturbance, follow authorised access routes and apply biosecurity cleaning between sites. Laboratory and other subcontract arrangements include relevant handling and environmental requirements. Travel and purchasing decisions consider practical opportunities to reduce waste and emissions while meeting service and safety obligations.
The Managing Director provides resources and reviews environmental performance. Staff receive relevant information and contribute improvement suggestions. Incidents and nonconformities are recorded with corrective actions and checked for closure. The policy is communicated during induction and reviewed on the stated cycle.
This policy expresses the company's commitments; it is not an ISO 14001 certificate or an independent audit report. Its current review status does not establish that the separate management-system certificate remains current.
